- We cannot stress this enough. Spamming links to your followers will not only hurt your Twitter credibility, but it will also hurt your SERPs. This also has a lot to do with your handle. Google’s algorithm disregards handles with a long set of numbers in them (e.g. John123456) as these are typically used by spammers. Make your handle short, simple and professional.

What about adding your location? I currently have two locations listed on my twitter bio and I am wondering if this is the right move? See, I live in a small town- with maybe 200 people on twitter from there lol- but work in a much larger city, with many more twitter users…should I include both? The smaller? The bigger? What are your thoughts?
That’s a great question! It all depends on where your target market is. The benefit of setting a location for your account is that it adds a degree of “findability” to your business. If it is a physical location, we would suggest sticking with the city in which you have a larger audience for your location.
That said, when it comes to SEO and geo-targeted marketing, you might want to consider mentioning both locations in your company’s bio on Twitter. For example, “We pride ourselves on providing unparalleled professional services to the [CITY 1] and [CITY 2] markets!” (P.S. Feel free to use that line if you like it!)
