Some AI Tools to Consider – Part 1
by Corey Padveen
AI Tools – An Overview
Since the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, the market has been inundated with tools and products that aim to capitalize on the capabilities and popularity of this revolutionary technology. With offerings ranging from browser integrations designed to offer more current timeframes of the content generated to automated marketing tools that promise a 10X improvement on your ad performance, hundreds of tools have begun to populate the AI landscape. And the plethora of these products has led people to wonder if they are all effectively built on the same AI, NLP and ML technologies, are they really unique or if they are in fact highly similar but appear to be different by virtue of differing user interfaces.
In order to help you understand the potential benefits and features of these products, t2.Marketing has gathered an extensive library of AI tools and we’ve spent dozens of hours reviewing them in detail. Over the coming weeks, we will share that information with you so that you too may make informed decisions when it comes to selecting the right tool or tools for your AI needs.
The purpose of our analysis was not to do an in depth look at features, price comparisons or evaluate customer support. We’ll leave that to the review sites. Rather, it was to help shed some clarity on what is out there so that you can do a deep dive into the products that appear to be most attractive to you and are most likely to address your individual challenges.
While these reviews are kept somewhat basic in order to avoid a very lengthy post, they are intended nonetheless to offer some insight into how you may streamline your selection process when it comes to choosing from among a wide range of competing options. NOTE: These reviews are strictly informational. t2.marketing has no affiliate relationship with any of these products and does not receive any form of compensation for these reviews.
AI Marketing and Content Creation Tools
This post covers three content creation tools: jasper.ai, anyword.com and writesonic.com. In order to avoid information overload, others will be covered in future posts.
Having raised over $125MM USD, and a $1.5B valuation in 2022, Jasper is one of the leading players in the AI content creation space.
Jasper is an excellent content creation tool and is really more of a suite than a single focused product given the wide range of solutions its interface delivers. Most importantly, we see Jasper as a core solution to your content needs with a subset of specialization areas which allows the product to deliver more efficiency when it comes to improving content workflow and related tasks.
While many AI products are positioning themselves as answers to a variety of challenges rolled into one such as advertising, social media, content creation, SEO, email formatting and so on, Jasper presents a more defined message centered on enhanced content creation which can be used for a variety of business or personal needs.
Jasper does highlight several specific features such as AI art and image generation, and SEO integration via surferseo, but they remain honest to their core message of being a high end AI content creation platform. For more robust needs, Jasper offers an API integration as well.
Anyword is another excellent AI content creation platform that places an emphasis generating conversions and driving sales. While Anyword is also about using generative AI to create content, they position their USP as promoting solutions that will drive results as opposed to being strictly an AI content tool.
Anyword does set expectations of improved returns by claiming that performance marketers see a 30% increase in conversions when using Anyword. And Anyword places more emphasis on the predictive analytics and results scoring of AI content in order to attract an audience that is interested in measuring and not just creating.
While Anyword does not specifically present itself as a suite of products, they do offer a robust grouping of AI content generation tools that work alone or together depending on your needs including ad copy creation, blog post generation, meta description generation for SEO and a host of other offerings. Similar to Jasper, Anyword also offers an API integration.
Writesonic is another outstanding option for AI content generation. The platform is open about their integration with ChatGPT-4 which helps users begin to wrap their heads around the fact that almost all of these new tools are driven by the same technologies.
As the name says, Writesonic positions themselves as an AI tool for writing. While that may be similar to Jasper and Anyword, Writesoinc bundles up their offering into more than 100 ‘features’. And while many of these are similar to those offered by the other products in this post, Writesonic takes some extra time as part of their presentation to go into more detail about each feature while providing some additional ideas on how you can use their product such as ‘real estate listing descriptions’, ‘listicle ideas’ and ‘pain-agitate solutions’. Jasper and Anyword can undoubtedly deliver the same results but Writesonic goes about presenting their message in a different way.
Writesonic’s API integration keeps them on par with the competition and their Chatsonic product delivers an interesting twist to the ChatGPT interface.
Takeaways
The AI tool landscape is growing faster than any other space we’ve seen in many years. The reach is broad and the advent of readily available AI is likely to impact every interacting touchpoint as part of a consumer journey regardless of where and when that occurs.
On the other hand, the technologies behind these tools come from a limited set of resources, OpenAI in particular. Therefore, it will become increasingly important to vet new tools and determine your sweet spot when it comes to making an informed decision in terms of selecting the platforms that work best for you. We’ve seen a lot of duplication throughout our analysis with the only distinguishing factor between some platforms coming down to little more than the user interface.
With that in mind, you are more likely to find that no one tool offers everything you need and a combination of several products may deliver the best results when it comes to AI management for your blog, content, advertising, social media, image generation, and other AI driven initiatives.
All three of these products deliver excellent results via customized interfaces that take OpenAI’s somewhat understated user experience and turn it into something that adds some sizzle. While each of these platforms will deliver similar results for most features, our experience shows us that delivering the greatest return on your AI investment often boils down to how innovative you can be with your prompt inputs regardless of the application.
