Trump Says TikTok Deal ‘Coming Soon’
With 25 days to go to arrange a U.S. sell off deal under the current extension agreement, TikTok is seemingly getting closer to securing a U.S.-based partner to keep it in operation in the region. Or not. Hard to say at this stage. Over the weekend, U.S. President Donald Trump was asked about the state of the TikTok sell-off deal.

X Suffers Major DDoS Attack as Backlash Against Elon Musk Grows
X was intermittently down this week, in many regions, due to what X owner Elon Musk has claimed was a cyber attack on a large scale. In response to reports of the outages, Musk explained that: “There was a massive cyberattack against X. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved.” Hours later, in a televised interview on Fox Business, Elon blamed a Ukraine-based group for the alleged DDos attack.

U.S. DOJ Antitrust Filing Proposes 4 Ways To Break Google’s Monopoly
The plaintiffs in an antitrust lawsuit against Google filed a revised proposed final judgment for the judge in the case to consider. The proposal comes after a previous ruling where the court determined that Google broke antitrust laws by illegally maintaining its monopoly. The legal filing by the plaintiffs, the United States Department Of Justice and State Attorneys General, argue that Google has maintained monopolies in search services and text advertising through anticompetitive practices.

The Top 3 YouTube Trends To Pay Attention To Right Now
The search and marketing community should pay closer attention to YouTube. According to the latest Global Digital Report, YouTube.com is the second most visited website in the world, behind Google.com but ahead of Facebook.com in third place. Perhaps more importantly, YouTube is one of the top referrers of traffic to other websites – 18.73% of the traffic to the top 10,000 websites comes from Google.com, but 6.44% comes from YouTube.com.
