Meta Could Be Set to Announce New Smart Glasses Next Month
We could be very close to seeing Meta’s next-level smart glasses in retail stores, with reports emerging that Meta’s planning to launch its “Hypernova” camera-equipped glasses at its Connect conference next month, which will also include a new heads-up camera display that’s visible in the wearer’s field of view.

Social Media Giants Wait on EU Trade Deal Details
Social media companies are hoping that their support for President Trump will pay off in the coming weeks, with the White House looking to finalize the terms of a new trade deal with Europe, with a final hurdle now being the EU’s digital services regulations, and the additional requirements that they place on U.S. tech platforms, including Meta, X and others.

xAI is Planning to Release Various Concerning AI Bot Personas
According to a new report from 404 Media, in the back-end code for X’s Grok site, the xAI team has logged references to some of its coming AI companion personas, which will expand upon its existing bot models. They include a doctor bot, a therapist. Oh, also a conspiracist bot that “spends a lot of time on 4chan.”

OpenAI Announces Low-Cost Subscription Plan: ChatGPT Go
OpenAI is rolling out a new subscription tier called ChatGPT Go, a competitively priced version that will initially be available only to users in India. It features ten times higher message limits, ten times more image generations, and file uploads than the free tier.

A peer-reviewed PNAS study finds that large language models tend to prefer content written by other LLMs when asked to choose between comparable options. The authors say this pattern could give AI-assisted content an advantage as more product discovery and recommendations flow through AI systems.
