Twitter Says That All Advertisers Will Now Have to Pay for Verification in Order to Run Ads in the App
It seems that Elon Musk is going to try to boost Twitter’s subscription revenue by brute force, with the platform now informing all advertisers that they’ll have to sign up to either Twitter Blue or Verification for Organizations in order to keep running ads in the app.

How Brand Safe is Twitter Under Elon Musk?
Given that Elon has overseen the reinstatement of tens of thousands of previously banned users, and has stoked anti-government and anti-establishment sentiment with his own tweets, it makes sense that such incidents would be on the rise, while Musk has also implemented a more open speech approach, which is designed to allow more types of comments and content remain active in the app, as opposed to taking such down.

Twitter Removes Legacy Blue Ticks, Which Will Impact the Broader News Ecosystem
The day of reckoning has finally come for legacy verified accounts on Twitter, with owner Elon Musk following through on his threat to remove all of the 400k or so previously verified checkmarks that had been allocated in the app before the arrival of Twitter Blue, which means that the only checkmarks displayed on user profiles will be from paying users.
