Google Found Guilty of Illegal Ad Tech Monopoly in Court Ruling
A federal judge has ruled that Google maintained illegal monopolies in the digital advertising technology market. In a landmark case, the Department of Justice and 17 states found Google liable for antitrust violations.

Publishers Seeing Increases in Referral Traffic from Facebook in March
Meta’s change in approach to political content appears to be driving more referral traffic from the platform once again, with new data showing that total referral traffic from the app is up 74% year-over-year for some of the biggest publisher sites.

SEOFOMO Survey Shows How Ecommerce SEOs Use AI In 2025
Aleyda Solis’ SEOFOMO published a survey of ecommerce owners and SEOs that indicates a wide range of uses of AI, reflecting popular SEO tactics and novel ways to increase productivity, but also reveals that a significant number of the respondents have yet to fully adopt the technology because they are still figuring out how it best fits into their workflow. Very few of the survey respondents said they were not considering AI.

Instagram Launches ‘Blend’ Reels Sharing Feature
After testing and tweaking the feature for more than a year, Instagram has now officially launched its new “Blend” option for Reels, which enables you to create a shared feed of recommended Reels with a friend or group chat.

Zuckerberg Admits That Time Spent on Facebook and Instagram Has Declined
As you’re no doubt aware, Meta is defending itself against an FTC antitrust case at the moment, which has seen Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg face several days of questioning in a federal court, in regards to the company’s acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp, and is motivations in buying up potentially competing apps. And most of what’s been shared is information we already knew: Meta purchased Instagram because it saw opportunity to expand the app; Meta tried to acquire Snapchat back in 2013 (and again in 2016); TikTok has emerged as a serious threat to Meta’s overall business.
