Google Plus is Officially Gone After Its Mobile Apps are Rebranded as Google Currents
Google Plus, the company’s failed social network, is officially gone as of today. After Google Plus personal accounts were shut down last year, Google announced that it would be replacing the social network for enterprise users with Google Currents. Currents is generally available starting today, and the Google Plus Android and iOS apps have been rebranded to Google Currents to reflect the change (via 9to5Google).

Last week, India took the extraordinary step of banning 59 apps of Chinese origin, including the wildly popular TikTok, as tensions continue to flare between India and China over the disputed Line of Actual Control in Ladakh. TikTok India has issued a statement, explaining its position, and its intention to restore the app for Indian users, but thus far, any negotiations have been halted due to the conflict.

Last year, Scott Gairdner, a comedy writer and director who had worked on Conan and created the animated series Moonbeam City, went to the Hollywood offices of the new streaming platform Quibi for a pitch meeting. He is also the co-creator of a viral Adult Swim video called Live at the Necropolis: Lords of Synth, which Quibi was considering adapting. Gairdner was provisionally excited. In a business where new players pop up only to evaporate, he was used to deals never quite materializing. But a new, deep-pocketed buyer was cause for optimism.

5 Useful Google Search Console Features You Might Not Know About
Within Google Search Console, hidden gems abound. But, there are five special hidden gems that will help make your SEO life easier. Most webmasters are familiar with Google Search Console. It is a toolbox created by Google to help uncover technical issues. If you are considering buying another analytics tool, I highly recommended you explore GSC first. You may not need another tool at all if the issues on your site are restricted to those found in GSC. It is not the most intuitive. While many features of the old version of the tool have failed to be added to the new version (the robots.txt tester, and crawl stats, among others), it is still useful. I don’t know about you but I always used the robots.txt tester and the crawl statistics tools. Not quite as useful as it could be, but still good. Let’s take a tour of five hidden gems in GSC that may not be obvious from the outset.
