Meta looks to reassure AI users it can be trusted with their data
As part of its annual Connect showcase this week, Meta unveiled a range of new products that will enable people to further integrate the company’s artificial intelligence agents into their everyday lives, by having them tune in to their interactions at all times, via an expanding range of wearable devices.

Meta outlines Muse, AI glasses and VR device updates at Connect 2026
Meta announced a range of new artificial intelligence-powered options at its Meta Connect conference in Menlo Park this week, including improved data security for Muse agents, and new partnerships to facilitate more agentic AI functionality. Meta also showcased new AI glasses models, and a streamlined VR headset that weighs five times less than its current Meta Quest headset.

Google AI Overviews Have More Links, But Not All Reach The Web
Not every link inside an AI Overview is the same. Google’s posts describe links placed next to the answer text, article suggestions at the end of a response, previews of online discussions with links to the thread, and, since January on mobile, a follow-up question that opens a conversation in AI Mode. In Search Console, clicking on a link to an external page in an AI Overview counts as a click, and a link that runs a new Google query doesn’t count as either a click or an impression.
