Meta settles landmark lawsuit for $18B
Meta has agreed to pay more than $18 billion to stop what could have been an increasingly damaging trial over social media harms, while the company has also agreed to implement new restrictions on teen social media use, in order to settle the case brought by 29 U.S. attorneys general, the trial for which began in California last week.

Billions of logged-in users, session-based reach that’s much larger than linear TV, and formats built for storytelling that Search can’t touch. However, none of the promise of YouTube matters if the ad account underneath it is not built to capture the demand it creates. YouTube can generate attention, interest, and intent, but none of that converts if the business is not structurally prepared for YouTube.
