TikTok Reaches 30 Million UK Users
Amid ongoing concerns about data access, and its potential connection to the Chinese government, TikTok has shared some new data on its usage in the U.K., and its rising contributions to the British economy. According to TikTok, the app now serves over 30 million U.K. users, making this its single biggest European user market. TikTok also says that there are now over 1.5 million British businesses on TikTok, contributing £1.6 billion to the UK economy ($US2.17 billion), while the company itself employs 3,000 U.K. employees.

Meta Launches Opportunity Score to All Advertisers

Trump Indicates That He’ll Grant Another Extension on US TikTok Sell-Off
Checking in on the TikTok-U.S. saga, on day 142 since the official TikTok sell-off bill was enacted, which outlines that TikTok must be sold to a U.S.-based company, or be banned for all Americans. And nope, TikTok still isn’t banned, and with just 8 days remaining in the second 75-day hold on enforcement of the bill, President Trump is once again indicating that he’ll approve yet another extension, in order to ensure that TikTok remains available in the U.S.

Google Responds To Site That Lost Ranks After Googlebot DDoS Crawl
Google’s John Mueller answered a question about a site that received millions of Googlebot requests for pages that don’t exist, with one non-existent URL receiving over two million hits, essentially DDoS-level page requests. The publisher’s concerns about crawl budget and rankings seemingly were realized, as the site subsequently experienced a drop in search visibility.
